The following is a reply to Bill’s comment on my post, which was a reply to his post… (-;
Dear Bill, reading one’s own words can be very valuable in discovering our own lovelessness and seeming confusion.
You say “I know my words cannot lead anyone to Awareness; unfortunately, they can only express where I am”…
What is the difference between certainty and conviction?
Who are you to make such a harsh statement!
What do you really know, besides “I am aware”?
Is “Bill” an accident, or is he an expression, a gift of Life to experience and share the love and amazement of rest and activity?
Also interesting… one of the Bible commandments says:
“You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.”
All just rubbish?
The name of the LORD is “I am”… and the LORD is not “another” but the absence of the assumed “separate-self”.
Always good to go back to basics: what do I really know?
– pause, inner looking without thinking –
Experience/answer: I AM.
Simple, easy, pristine.
There is only one Peace, and you are That!
But you don’t seem to know the pearl of great price, and Maya dances with you in the field of lack and limitation.
States and stages seem to exist in the arrogant and confused psychological thinking mind (suffering).
The person mind is too invested in thinking, believing, longing, hoping, expecting that there is no inner space to honor, appreciate and love this seeming “nothing” that is humbly waiting for our recognition, since decades.
It is only a mental “nothing”.
It is Source itself, the fullness of Life; closer than breathing, nearer than hands and feet.
Is coming home more like an art?
A psychological death, in which even the “oh so dedicated seeker” is seen as a mask of the assumed separate-self.
Thinking allowed, thinking aloud.
And I wouldn’t say “thinking is just a tool that can be tossed away”…
let’s appreciate the magnificence of thinking, it is our powerful servant, if we know who/what “I am”.
If we place ourself as a character into thinking then “me” is tossed and lost in time and space, always hungry for “next”, busy to secure and survive.
No matter how sophisticated the practices, an imagined character cannot reach liberation, only you can effortlessly wake up and acknowledge your true nature as “I am”.
“Truth is simple, but the seeker is complex.”
Thinking is the thorn to remove the thorn of faulty thinking.
“I am” aware of “body-mind-world”.
Who/what am I?
The answer is alive beyond mind.
I don’t think that Bill posted anything “harsh” and I object to your implying that Bill thinks that the Bible is rubbish. Why are you suddenly criticizing someone in such a mean way? Am I understanding you correctly?
Thank you David,
Sometimes we seem to hear only what we want to hear.
How true is this sentence:
“I know my words cannot lead anyone to Awareness; unfortunately, they can only express where I am.”
I am sorry if hurt someone’s feelings.
And why are you lecturing someone on nonduality as though you were a qualified teacher?
David, this is an interesting point you expose.
Is it a form of blame, assuming personal doership?
